THE YEAR OF THE FIRE HORSE
It is the Year of the Fire Horse.
And so much of our world is burning.
Across the American West, wild mustangs are being rounded up—families separated, freedom exchanged for holding pens, their future increasingly uncertain.
Perhaps this is the year we remember sacred rage.
Not hatred.
Not violence.
The kind of rage that rises because love has become unwilling to look away.
The fire that burns through apathy.
The fire that reminds us that spirituality without stewardship is another form of escape.
We were never meant to meditate ourselves into indifference.
We were meant to love this world so completely that its suffering could still reach us.
The mustang is thunder given flesh.
Freedom with a heartbeat.
Perhaps the Fire Horse has come to awaken the fire we have forgotten within ourselves.
Tenderness and ferocity were never opposites.
Sometimes love protects.
Sometimes love refuses.
Sometimes love says: no more.
Do more than scroll.
Speak. Act. Protect what is sacred.
Honour the mustang by finding your fire.
And run like thunder.
