Overcast was one of those genre defining bands in the 1990s that forever changed hardcore music for the better. They expanded what hardcore music could be and brought in amazing metal influences and technical timing changes that I am still in awe of when I listen to their music. Every time I saw these dudes play in the 90s, I was mesmerized. And every album they ever put out was jaw-droppingly good. Overcast was not only one of my favorite bands, but they were one of the best hardcore bands that ever existed.

I was fortunate enough to play shows with Overcast when I played drums in Daltonic. And even more awesome, I was able to photograph them 5 times during the 1990s. You can see more of those photos here: https://hardcorepunkphotos.com/category/bands/overcast/

If you live in the Providence area and you are not going to see them on Sunday at Alchemy, I really have no idea what you're thinking.
