My appetite accelerates as the temperature falls. The ancient cast iron soup pan is out of storage, the baking tins too. On the table this week, an autumnal apple and blackberry slice (recipe in this week’s @obsmagazine and on the Observer app.), a chicken and butterbean chorizo soup that warmed a chilly Tuesday night, a slice of Porcetta and gurnard with kale and fregola @lupa.restaurant. A plate of berries and figs at breakfast @cafeclementlondon and a bread and cheese lunch at home from @nealsyarddairy (including a heavenly gubbeen) with @thedustyknuckle sourdough toast. A golden week. 🍂🍁🍂
