Double denim day 💙🩵

I stopped trying to write down everything my professor says…

You already know the loop. You are writing so you miss the next point. You stop to listen and now there is a gap in your notes. Nobody can do both properly at the same time.

So now Flowtica Scribe handles one half of it and I do the other.

Here is what every lecture looks like for me 👇

📌 Before it starts
One press of the Flowtica Scribe and the whole lecture is recording. It still writes like any normal pen while it does.

📌 During
I only write the key points. Choosing what matters is the part that makes it stick.

📌 The moment something matters
One press of the FlowMark™ button highlights it. Two presses turns it into a to-do, which I use whenever my professor says something will come up in the exam.

📌 The second it ends
The lecture is transcribed and summarised with every highlight marked and every to-do already in a list.

📌 Later
I photograph my handwritten page into the app with Snap It so my own notes and the full recording sit in the same place. Then I can ask questions about either one.

👉30 hours of recording on one charge.
100 hours with the charging case.

👉Comment “PEN” & I’ll send you the link!

In 44 days my life is going to change forever. And I need advice.

This November I’ll be having a below knee amputation of my left leg. And I’m terrified.
Like many people I don’t do well with unknowns, and the number of unknowns that come with this surgery are endless. While I have a bit of practical knowledge around the surgery and the rehab timeline, there are many things I have very little knowledge on and other things I’m sure I haven’t thought of to even ask.

So to any amputee who is willing to share, I have a few questions:

If you had 44 days to prepare for your amputation, what would you do? What would you make sure you had ready? At home or for your hospital stay?

If you knew you had 44 days before losing a limb, what support systems would you put in place before hand? Many people say “Let me know if you need anything!” and I know they mean it, but I have no idea what I’ll need or what to ask for. And in the thick of it after the amputation, I’ll be in survival mode just trying to get used to my new life, so I won’t be thinking of how to tell people how they can be helpful.

So if you knew you had 44 days, what would you do?
