Somehow, this is one of those passings that is particularly difficult. From what I saw of her, Dolly Parton was the kind of person to leave the world better than she found it, left a ray of sunshine in every room, and led her life with profound kindness. While I’ll never know her personally, her music and attitude have left such a deep impression on me, and countless others. And I thank her from the bottom of my heart.
