Mat’s Hot Shop ®

Last week I shared how difficult it was to close the Mat’s Hot Shop store.

This is the other side of that decision.

I packed the van and drove from Melbourne to Sydney for @thelittlefood_market It was our third Sydney trip this year.

We spent three days meeting people, sharing our full range and watching customers find their new favourite sauces.

When we had the shop, trips like this were difficult. The store needed us there.

The old version of Mat’s Hot Shop relied on people coming to us.

Now we can go and meet them.

Closing the shop still hurts. It wasn’t the outcome I wanted after everything we put into it.

But Mat’s Hot Shop hasn’t stopped.

We’re building it differently.
