Ayantika Sajwal’s works stem from spending time with objects and what settles into them through use and memory. Working with clay, iron, and cast elements, she creates forms that retain accumulated experiences.

‘Reminiscent II’ developed following a residency in Siwan, Bihar, where prolonged heat, cracked land, and living spaces shaped a fragmented series of walls. To create these, the clay body was subjected to processes echoing the surrounding environment. Lines drawn from Lalon Fakir are inscribed across the surface, reflecting ideas of home and belonging.
