My first experience with @filmquest was learning (after the fact) that I’d scored a Best Actress nomination for my portrayal of a man-eating demon hag. To say I was honored would be an understatement. Over the years, festival director Jonathan Martin has been one of the biggest supporters of my work. From programming my short films & music videos, to selecting me to serve as a juror, to commissioning a festival bumper best described as a 1990s alien perfume commercial (IYKYK). I’ve met lifelong friends and collaborators through Filmquest, and have been treated not just as an alumni but like family. That’s why it’s so special that a film I made to honor my late father is now an Official Selection.

I’d also like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the new festivals that have selected us recently. We can’t wait to meet you! @noid_film_festival @santacruzfilmfestival @genreblast @laughafterdark @phoenixvillefilmfestival @riverbearfilms

And a very special thanks to Severed’s cast & crew who volunteered their time and talents to make this little project possible, especially @melaniezanetti & @bengiroux who brought these characters to life so brilliantly and @nealtylerworkshop who took care of everything I didn’t know how to do myself.
