A Lobster kinda love š¦
Celebrating Dundalkās finest Richie and Caoimhe back in April was such a highlight of the spring season! My first ceremony at
@galgormweddings and itās not one Iāll forget in a hurryā¦
Caoimhe and Richie are one of those couples with an irresistible energy and warmth - they wrap you up in their craic and make you feel like one of the clan from the off. So by the time it came to retelling their love story in a bespoke ceremony, I felt like Iād been there for every twist and turn, right from their school Debs!
As an English teacher, words hold great significance to Caoimhe, so I wanted to make extra sure I was representing her and Richieās relationship authentically in every line. In keeping with her love of language and literature, we enjoyed two beautiful readings from family (including THE most beautiful rendition of Yeatsā āAedh Wishes for the Cloths of Heavenā Iāve ever heard), and Caoimhe even surprised Richie with a poem sheād penned herself, which obviously had him in bits!
They were both so present and engaged in every moment of their wedding ceremony, as they took an epic trip through their 12 years together, and looked ahead to what the next 12 years and beyond might have in store (regular FRIENDS rewatches guaranteed).
Thank you, Mr & Mrs Halpenny, for trusting me with your gorgeous story, and welcoming into your home and your hearts ā¤ļø all the love for the journey aheadā¦
