The Divine Connect

“Mullah!” said as though being religious is something to be ashamed of.

He prays → Mullah.
He studies Qur’an → Mullah.
He avoids haram → Mullah.

But when did holding onto your deen become an insult?

The Prophet ﷺ said: “If Allah wants good for a person, He makes him comprehend the religion.”
- Sahih al-Bukhari 71

So if “mullah” means someone who strives to learn and practise his deen,
Alhamdulillah. Call him that.

You don't need to abandon your faith to earn people's approval.

Let them mock. You keep your deen.

What matters isn't what people call you, it's what Allah sees in you.

So, be a Mullah. And make it your profession.
