JACK. MY SOULDOG
You weren’t “just” a dog.
You were home.
You were family.
You were soul.❤️
A SoulDog is something that goes beyond the ordinary relationship between a person and their dog. It’s that soul who enters your life and, before you even realize it, becomes a part of who you are. It’s a connection that doesn’t need words, because you recognize each other in your eyes, in the silence, in simply being there.
A SoulDog isn't just a companion by your side. It’s the one who truly knows you. The one who feels when you need them, without you ever having to ask. The one who can fill an entire room just by walking in, and who leaves behind a silence no one else can ever fill when they’re gone.
And you, Jack, were all of that for me.
You were my partner in the good days and the hard ones. You were a presence that asked for nothing, other than to just be there. You taught me that the truest love can be quiet, simple, and instinctive—a love made of a single look, a wagging tail, a head resting gently beside you.
Then came the day that no one ever wants to face: saying goodbye.
And from that moment on, I understood that losing a SoulDog isn’t just losing a pet. It means losing a piece of your daily life, your routines, your memories. It means looking for them out of habit, expecting to hear them coming, only to realize that space is empty.
But there is something death can never take away.
The bond.
Because you may not be here like you were before, but you are still inside everything you left behind in me. In the memories. In the little gestures. In the places we shared. In that part of my heart that forever carries your name.
Maybe that’s what being a SoulDog really means:
not being destined to stay by our side forever, but being destined to stay inside us forever.
And you, Jack, are still here.
You were here.
You are still here.
And you always will be.
And whatever lies beyond this time and this life, I hope that one day our paths will cross again.
Jack, my SoulDog.❤️❤️🩹
Forever mine.🖤
