I used to say yes to everything.

Every dinner, every last-min invite, every night out. I’d always make myself available and honestly cared way too much about disappointing people or what they thought of me.

Looking back, I spent so much time filling everyone else’s cup that I forgot to fill my own.

Learning to say no, setting boundaries and putting more time into myself definitely meant some friendships changed along the way.

And looking back, at times it was definitely pretty lonely.
But it also taught me that choosing yourself sometimes doesn’t make you selfish.

I learnt that it was okay to protect my time, work on myself and focus on becoming the person I wanted to be.
Still learning this one myself.
