It’s been another chaotic week in football, with huge results, major upsets and individual brilliance dominating the headlines. Harry Kane made history by winning the 2026 Ballon d’Or, while Lamine Yamal claimed the Kopa Trophy and Alexia Putellas was crowned the best women’s player in the world. Real Madrid secured bragging rights with a 2-1 victory over Barcelona in El Clásico, while the Premier League delivered plenty of drama. Aston Villa ended Manchester City’s perfect start, Tottenham stunned Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Arsenal beat Everton and Manchester United suffered another humiliating defeat, losing 3-0 to Bournemouth at Old Trafford. Liverpool overcame Brighton, Newcastle won away at Crystal Palace, and the League Cup brought another opportunity for shocks and surprises. From the biggest individual awards to fierce rivalries and unexpected results, football has given fans plenty to talk about this week.
