🥎 DIFFERENT GAME. SAME POSITIONING.
Baseball and softball aren’t the same game.
But great catching is still built from the ground up.
Lipscomb softball commit Mivie Lamb already has the tools. Our job was to put those tools in a better position to work.
We focused on improving how she interacted with the ground — creating a foundation that was stable enough to control movement, but free enough to create rhythm, timing and adjustability through the catch.
Then we gave her constraints that allowed her to FEEL the correct positions instead of constantly being told where she needed to be.
Because that’s the goal.
Not to make a catcher dependent on coaching.
To give her a system she can understand, feel and eventually OWN.
Different ball. Different field. Different game.
Same need for positioning.
Same need for timing.
Same need for adjustability.
Same need to OWN every pitch.
