If your elbow or Achilles has been “resting” for weeks and still isn’t better, Watch this

Comment 492 and I’ll send you the full episode with @keithbaar

Tendon and ligament researcher Dr. Keith Baar explains how women who lift can protect their connective tissue, bounce back from injury faster, and why estrogen changes the injuries women get.

If you’re a woman lifting weights, your muscles aren’t the only tissue adapting. Your tendons and ligaments are training right alongside them, and they respond to load very differently.

Dr. Keith Baar is a professor of physiology at UC Davis and head of the Functional Molecular Biology Laboratory. He joins me on Better With Dr. Stephanie for a deep dive into tendon and ligament science. Whether you’re trying to stay injury-free as you build strength or you’re frustrated and want a smarter way back from an injury, this conversation gives you a framework for both.

A former New Jersey elementary school teacher accused of sexually abusing a student over a period of four years has pleaded guilty to a child endangerment charge.
_____________________________________________
Laura Caron, 36, entered her guilty plea Friday, October 30, according to the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office. She pleaded guilty to second-degree endangering the welfare of a child by engaging in sexual conduct. Caron was arrested in January 2025 after an investigation by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit. The investigation began after authorities received a report alleging that Caron had engaged in a sexual relationship with a male juvenile.

She was later indicted in June 2025. Prosecutors said Caron previously worked as a fifth-grade teacher at Middle Township Elementary School. According to an earlier probable cause statement, investigators alleged that Caron began sexually abusing the boy when he was 11 years old. The alleged conduct continued for several years, according to authorities.
