THE GRASS AIN’T ALWAYS GREENER.

The more cities I experience, the more I notice how many artists resent the place they’re from, always believing there’s more opportunity somewhere else and I’ve caught myself thinking the same way as I find myself wanting to move back to Seattle. Sometimes we know our own city’s limitations so well that another city’s possibilities look better from the outside. But every scene has its politics, setbacks and closed doors. Sometimes growth isn’t about escaping where you’re from, but learning how to build from it while expanding beyond it.
