🧩 When a Rubik’s Cube Becomes Art

Matt Bahner (@matt.bahner) creates giant mechanical puzzles that blur the line between engineering, design, and art.
One of his most impressive projects is a fully functional 34×34×34 cube, which took around 1,000 hours to create. Its components were designed and produced using 3D printing.
Mathematics + color + movement + play — this combination transforms a puzzle into an interactive art object.
And the meeting of serious engineering with almost childlike playfulness is a perfect expression of metamodernism.

Matt Bahner (@matt.bahner)
