Reels longer than 3mins won’t be recommended to new audiences, but I need to ask this question: what’s our future as a people?

It’s so unfortunate that this is our reality as a nation. Who would have thought that our culture of rewarding diligence and excellence would one day be replaced by a culture that rewards mediocrity? Our value system has eroded beyond belief. Somehow, money has become a metric for measuring intelligence. Your opinions no longer seem to count unless you have a fat bank account and some serious β€œdoings.” Broke-shaming has become the norm. Oppression is being celebrated. Mediocrity is being rewarded while genuine excellence is increasingly overlooked. How did we even get here? 🀦🏾 The future looks gloomy. And perhaps most disturbing of all is the fact that those at the corridors of power seem to have deliberately weaponized poverty, turning deprivation into a tool for securing and maintaining their selfish interests. What a tragic place to find ourselves as a nation. Ps - if there's such a book or document, I'd love to read it too.
