Tupac died six days after being shot at a Las Vegas red light on September 7, 1996. The case remained a mystery for years until Davis began speaking publicly about being inside the white Cadillac that investigators said pulled up beside Tupac’s vehicle. __________________ During the trial, prosecutors argued Davis had gone “hunting” for Tupac and Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight in retaliation after Davis’ nephew was beaten by the pair. Davis detailed his involvement in the shooting in his 2019 memoir, Compton Street Legend, which prosecutors used as evidence during his trial.

Президент Касым-Жомарт Токаев после консультаций с премьер-министром Олжасом Бектеновым и председателем Курултая Айбеком Дадебаем, проведенных в соответствии с пунктом 5 статьи 88 Конституции РК, подписал указ “О досрочном прекращении полномочий маслихатов всех уровней”. Центральной избирательной комиссии поручено принять все меры по назначению, подготовке и проведению внеочередных выборов депутатов маслихатов всех уровней. В соответствии с пунктом 5 статьи 88 Конституции Республики Казахстан, пунктом 3 статьи 101 Конституционного закона Республики Казахстан “О выборах в Республике Казахстан”, пунктом 2 статьи 23 Закона Республики Казахстан “О местном государственном управлении и самоуправлении в Республике Казахстан” ПОСТАНОВЛЯЮ: 1. Досрочно прекратить полномочия маслихатов всех уровней. 2. Центральной избирательной комиссии Республики Казахстан принять меры по назначению, организации подготовки и проведения внеочередных выборов депутатов маслихатов всех уровней. 3. Правительству Республики Казахстан, акимам города Астаны, областей, городов Алматы и Шымкента принять меры по организационному, материально-техническому и финансовому обеспечению внеочередных выборов депутатов маслихатов всех уровней. Указ вводится в действие со дня его опубликования.
