Today, Ashy wrapped filming on Swan Song, the first film from Twin Cherry Productions, the film company she founded with her friend Fionn, who wrote and directed the film. Ashy produced it. And I couldn’t be prouder.

Not simply because she made a film, but because of what it took to get here. She took a risk. She backed herself. She stepped into an industry where nothing is guaranteed and decided that instead of waiting for an opportunity, she was going to create one. That takes guts.

Now the cameras have stopped rolling. The first film is in the can. And something that started as an idea has become real.

Swan Song is the beginning of Twin Cherry Productions. I have no idea where this road is going to take her. But I know this; she’s got the courage to find out. And as her dad, watching her take that first big swing is pretty damn special.
