Found on moist rocks around the fresh water waterfall habitats of Amboli, this little pink beauty is Gubernatoriana longipes, the fall base crab, a rare species discovered only in 2016, and endemic to Amboli, which means it’s found nowhere else on Earth but the Northern Western Ghats of India.

This crab lives on lateritic plateaus and forest streams that appear only during the monsoons. And it’s perfectly adapted to the rushing waters and rocky terrain.

But, That COLOUR! Those EYES! How can something so tiny be this stinking cute? 🩷😍

Specially when I saw it scratching its little legs.
Those tiny movements made it even more fascinating to watch!

We often overlook these little creatures, but the more time you spend looking closely at nature, you realise how much beauty exists even in the smallest of beings. There’s so much to fall in love with if only we take a moment to look.

You don’t always need a tiger or a leopard to be mesmerised by wildlife. Sometimes, all it takes is a tiny pink crab on a rock in a waterfall.

В третьем квартале 2026 года средний прожиточный минимум на душу населения в Кыргызстане увеличили до 9 тысяч 890 сомов 28 тыйынов. По сравнению с первым полугодием он увеличился всего на 17 сомов. Об этом свидетельствуют данные Нацстаткома.

Напомним, по итогам второго квартала прожиточный минимум составил 9 тысяч 873,28 сома в месяц.

При этом, по официальным данным, рост цен на продукты с начала года достиг 8,1%.
