If I didn’t get the call I wanted on September 1st, here’s what I would do next 👇🥎

1. Don’t panic. September 1st is the START of recruiting, not the end.

2. Pay attention to who DID call. Don’t get so caught up in one dream school that you overlook a great opportunity.

3. Reach back out. Send updated film, stats, measurables + your upcoming schedule to schools you’re interested in.

4. Use your coaches. Ask your travel/high school coaches to make calls and find out where programs stand with your position.

5. Expand your list. More conferences. More regions. More levels. Broaden your opportunities without lowering your standards.

6. Keep getting better + keep posting. Coaches should be able to find your page and immediately know your grad year, position, ability + contact info.

7. Go where I’m actually being recruited. I’d prioritize camps and visits at schools that have communicated genuine interest rather than spending hundreds of dollars chasing a logo that hasn’t.

Most importantly—stay ready. Recruiting changes FAST, and opportunities can open when you least expect them.
