🇮🇪 THE SINGLE PERSON’S TAX IN IRELAND 💸 One income. One mortgage. Every bill. Every unexpected expense. And nobody to share the financial burden with. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my independence, and there are plenty of perks to being single! ❤️ But there’s a side we don’t talk about enough. The financial pressure of doing absolutely everything alone. I bought my own home. I pay my mortgage, insurance, household bills and every unexpected expense. I’m proud of what I’ve achieved, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. And before anyone suggests I should “just find a husband”… 🙄 Of course I’d love a partner! Not just to split the bills, but to genuinely share life with. The everyday moments, adventures, good days and difficult ones. I date. I put myself out there. I try. But that person hasn’t come along yet. Hopefully, one day they will. ❤️ But I shouldn’t NEED a partner to make life financially manageable. Being single isn’t necessarily a choice I’ve made. It’s simply where life has brought me. And even for those who choose to be single, why should that mean carrying such a significant financial burden? It’s 2026. Nobody should feel pressured to find a partner, settle for the wrong person or stay in an unhappy relationship because they can’t afford to live alone. I’m not suggesting people in relationships don’t have financial pressures. Of course they do! But sharing the mortgage, bills and unexpected expenses can make an enormous difference. I want a partner to share my life with. Not because I need someone to help me afford it. ❤️ I know so many people across Ireland are in the same position. 💬 Single people, what’s your biggest financial frustration? What have I missed? Share this if you can relate! ❤️🇮🇪 Single person tax Ireland, cost of being single, living alone Ireland, single income household, financial independence, Irish cost of living, single homeowner, mortgage Ireland, single supplements, household bills #SinglePersonTax #Single #CostOfLivingIreland #FinancialIndependence #LivingAlone
