There are some moments as a parent that are hard to put into words. This is one of them. 💚⚾️
Cooper is officially COMMITTED to the University of Mount Olive to continue his academic and baseball career!
This one means so much because we know everything that came before the picture and the announcement. The countless practices, bullpens, workouts, long drives, weekends spent at ballfields, good outings, tough outings, setbacks, growth, conversations, emails, camps, visits, and all of the uncertainty that comes with trying to figure out where you belong at the next level.
Through all of it, Cooper kept working.
And somewhere along the way, this became about so much more than finding a place to play baseball. It became about finding a place where he could continue chasing both of his dreams, a college baseball career and his future in aviation.
He found that at Mount Olive.
As his parents, there is something incredibly special about watching your child work toward something for years and then finally get to say, “This is where I’m going.”
Cooper, we are so incredibly proud of you. Not just because you get to play college baseball, but because of the young man you’ve become throughout the process. You earned this opportunity, and we cannot wait to watch what you do with it.
And to every coach, mentor, teammate, friend and person who has been part of this journey—THANK YOU! Thank you for believing in him, coaching him, pushing him, encouraging him, challenging him, and helping him grow. So many people have poured into our boy over the years, and each of you has played a part in helping him with the opportunity to achieve a dream he has worked toward for so long. We will never take that for granted.
One chapter closes, and an incredible new one begins.
University of Mount Olive Baseball — Class of 2027.
Go Trojans! 💚⚾️✈️
