The Free SC CWP program was created as a condition of the SC Constitutional Carry Law of 2024. Laws are funded by tax revenue. That means your SC tax dollars contribute to this program. The way I see it, your money is being reinvested in the communities by providing free training on how to lawfully exercise your right to protect yourself and your loved ones.
No, a CWP is not required in SC, but why not use a training opportunity to gain knowledge that you may not have, and its already paid for. You will be provided information on handgun safety and shooting fundaments, legal information regarding the use of deadly force, deadly weapons, and more.
