Lifting heavy weights will improve your bone density. A lot of the recommendations for “heavy weights” means above 80 percent of your max. To put it simply, that’s what you can lift for 6 reps or less. It places a high mechanical load on the bone and signals your body to build stronger, denser bones. This is especially important for menopausal women and anyone wanting to age with strength and independence. But, you can’t walk into the gym on day one and lift that heavy. Even if your goal was to become the strongest powerlifter on the planet, I would never start you at 80 percent. To lift heavy safely and effectively, you first need to: • Learn how to lift with proper technique • Build work capacity • Build muscle and prepare your joints and connective tissues for higher loads Lifting heavy is one of the best things you can do for bone health and longevity. But there is a process to earn the right to go heavy.
❤️🎂 Happy Birthday to my honey, Bill Klein! 🎉❤️ Seriously, how is it possible that you don’t look a day older than the day I married you?! 😍 What’s your secret, honey? Because I clearly need some of whatever you’re doing! 😂❤️ Life with you is never boring, always full of laughter, a little bit of craziness, and so much love. From all the adventures we’ve shared to the beautiful family we’ve built with Will and Zoey, I wouldn’t trade this life with you for anything. You’re my partner, my best friend, my favorite person to laugh with, and the one I’m so lucky to call my husband. ❤️ Here’s to another year of love, laughter, adventures, and making memories together. I love you more than words can say, honey! 🥰❤️ Happy Birthday, Bill! 🎂😘# #HappyBirthday #MyHoney #littlecouple #someonelikeyou @reallybillklein y

We’ve been hard at work over here on the estrogren patch beat! 📞📞 🕵️ 🕵️Here’s a little glimpse into the reporting process as I try to figure out what’s causing so many of you to have trouble finding the patches you desperately need. This is just the start... still to come: my scavenger hunt with real women as they try to figure out how and where to get their prescriptions filled. What questions do you still have for the manufacturers of these patches?
