Follow (US) @MEMEZAR for more ❤️ This old guy was the real villain of the show The scene comes from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Season 1, Episode 6, “Imprisoned.” During the episode, Haru uses his earthbending abilities to rescue an elderly Earth Kingdom villager trapped beneath rubble in a coal mine controlled by the Fire Nation. Despite being saved from a dangerous situation, the old man later points Haru out to Fire Nation soldiers, fearing he could face punishment for being associated with illegal earthbending. The betrayal leads to Haru’s arrest and imprisonment on a metal-plated prison barge, leaving viewers frustrated by the old man’s apparent lack of gratitude. The scene highlights the fear and oppression experienced by ordinary citizens under Fire Nation rule, while raising an uncomfortable question about survival: whether protecting yourself can ever justify betraying someone who risked their life to save you.
HUGE win. #COYG

5 years. ‘I promise with all my heart to cherish, respect and support you, through our darkest days and brightest moments. I vow to remain by your side, no matter how turbulent the storm. I will forever vouch for you, give you all I am able… and until my final breath, will love you as best I can. You will never truly understand how grateful I am for your guidance, your wisdom and your companionship. All that I am is, and will forever be, yours.’ – those were meant to be my vows… but I couldn’t say any of them because I was crying so much lol.
