Why would I even think about having surgery without prepping my entire household first?! 😂
My tummy tuck journey is about to begin, and this mama is going to be OUT for at least two weeks! (Really 6 but I’m hoping I can get back to myself around 2)😩 💕

✔️ Seasoned + prepped meat and froze it so my husband can cook without a second thought
✔️ Put my hair in a protective styles
✔️ Miracle knots on my two oldest, done by me... lost the footage lol 🙈
✔️ Clean & prep bedding
✔️ Ordered & stocked necessities for the house & myself
✔️ and even snuck in a school trip volunteer day with the kids and spent quality time with the fam!

Can’t wait to get my surgery with @drfasusi !!

Do you keep waiting to feel motivated before you start and then wonder why you never seem to build momentum? 🧠

I’m a psychologist. And we get motivation completely backwards.

We think we need to feel motivated first, then we’ll take action. But action is actually what creates the feeling. Not the other way around.

One tiny action makes the next one easier. Then the next. Then the next.

Open the document. Put your shoes on. Write one sentence. Send one email.

So instead of asking “how do I make myself feel motivated?” .. ask .. “what’s the smallest action that could start the momentum?”

You don’t need to feel ready. You just need one block to topple. 💛

Comment MINI and I’ll send you the link to my Pocket Psychologist Mini Course where I share pocket sized tips to help you through day to day. 🧠
