Some tapes you send off and forget. This one I'll never forget.

There was a stretch where auditioning stopped being fun. It became homework. Pass/fail. Something I did instead of something I loved.

Then, one day out of the blue, this landed in my inbox: 'Oh Father,' a televangelist supe for the final season of @theboystv.

A preacher. A supe. A congregation that probably should run. What's not to love?

I called up my old acting coach, John at @johnrosenfeldstudios. We set up the camera, and I stopped overthinking and just played. No safety net, no second-guessing. Two takes, and that was it. Somewhere in there, auditioning got fun again.

The role went to the masterful @daveeddiggs, who tore the roof off that church. Meanwhile, I got my joy back, which honestly feels like a pretty good consolation prize.

Grateful for every minute of it. And in the infamous words of the questionably great poet laureate Sir Puff Daddy... can't stop, won't stop... aha aha!" 🙏🏾🕺🏾

P.S. Yes, Oh Father swears. Duh, it's The Boys. I'm sure he cleared it up with the Big Guy upstairs. 😇 Or the other guy downstairs. 🔥🤔
