Getting invited on this trip to Germany was an absolute dream. 🇩🇪 When I first started creating content, I wanted to be a mini female Anthony Bourdain, but realistically, I didn’t have the money to keep traveling. So I focused on Chicago. I love our city so much, but my dream is to travel the world. Needless to say, I teared up a bit when I got my acceptance email back from @germanyinmidwest on this trip. 🥹

Germany completely blew me away, but Freiburg was easily my favorite stop. It’s basically the quintessential German fairytale town, without feeling packed with tourists. I’m just so grateful I got to experience it.
