What killed @artforum?โ  โ  In โ€œโ€˜And the Forum Lay in Ruins,โ€™โ€ former senior web editor Travis Jeppesen delivers a scathing insider account of the magazineโ€™s declineโ€”from David Velascoโ€™s firing and the fallout over Palestine to Tina Rivers Ryanโ€™s leadership, Jay Penskeโ€™s corporate ownership, censorship, staff resignations, and a culture of fear.โ  โ  Revisiting the magazineโ€™s history, from Lynda Benglisโ€™s infamous 1974 ad to its present-day crisis, Jeppesen asks how the art worldโ€™s most influential magazine lost its voice.โ  โ  Comment ARTFORUM and we'll send you the link to the full cover story from our November issue.โ  โ  Photos by @kevinblumenthalphoto.

This week was definitely one of the toughest Iโ€™ve had so far. I was really unwell, running on very little energy and trying to learn two dances, but I gave it absolutely everything I hadโค๏ธ I came into this experience knowing I wasnโ€™t a dancer, a performer or an athlete, but I wanted to challenge myself, step outside my comfort zone and give something completely new my absolute best & thatโ€™s exactly what Iโ€™m trying to do every single week. Iโ€™m learning, Iโ€™m making mistakes, Iโ€™m pushing myself and Iโ€™m growing along the way!! Some weeks will be better than others, and thatโ€™s okay. Iโ€™m only human๐Ÿฅน Iโ€™m not sharing this for sympathy or to make excuses, but simply to share a little of the reality behind the scenes! Sometimes all you can do is show up, give everything you have and be proud of yourself for trying!! A special thank you to my incredible partner @markballas who has been my biggest support throughout this journey. His patience, encouragement and belief in me, especially during such a difficult week, mean more than he knows. I genuinely couldnโ€™t have asked for a better person to share this experience withโค๏ธ To everyone who continues to support me, encourage me and cheer me on, please know how much it means. You genuinely give me the strength to keep going, especially on the harder days. Your kindness never goes unnoticed๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Iโ€™m so grateful to still be here, to be learning and to have this opportunity. Iโ€™m proud that I kept going, even when things felt impossible, and I promise Iโ€™ll keep giving it everything Iโ€™ve got!! I really do love everything about this show (apart from the Jive hehe) @dancingwiththestars Hereโ€™s to coming back strongerโค๏ธ
Thank you so much Anant Ambani ji for this beautiful initiative. God bless you with everything๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ #humanity #anantambani #hussainmansuri
