This past weekend was such a milestone in my career โ€” not because of the win or the title, but because I had the opportunity to compete under the same lights, on the same night, as my son. Jiu-Jitsu and MMA have been such an important part of my life for so many years, and now being able to share that journey with my kids is truly a blessing. As a parent, I know how hard it can be to watch your child struggle. You want to protect them from disappointment, fear, nerves, anxiety, and hardship. But I truly believe there are very few things that will prepare them for adulthood better than Jiu-Jitsu. They learn that being nervous doesnโ€™t mean you shouldnโ€™t step forward. They learn that fear doesnโ€™t mean you quit. They learn how to lose, how to get back up, how to work toward something difficult, and how incredible it feels when that hard work finally pays off. The nerves, the anxiety, and the fear that come with chasing a goal can eventually be replaced by joy, pride, and triumph through hard work, sacrifice, discipline, and dedication. Just like in life. Winning a title is something Iโ€™ll always be proud of, but sharing that arena with my son is a memory Iโ€™ll carry with me forever. โค๏ธ๐Ÿฅ‹๐Ÿ† by @raythejudge
