மாண்புமிகு தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சர் திரு.ச.ஜோசப் விஜய் அவர்கள் இன்று (14.10.2026) சென்னை, சோழிங்கநல்லூரில் உள்ள சென்னை குடிநீர் வாரியத்தின் குடிநீரேற்றும் நிலையத்தில் நடைபெற்ற நிகழ்ச்சியில், சென்னைப் பெருநகர் குடிநீர் வழங்கல் மற்றும் கழிவுநீரகற்று வாரியத்தின் வாயிலாக 3,108 கோடியே 55 இலட்சம் ரூபாய் மதிப்பீட்டில், பெருநகர சென்னை மாநகராட்சியின் எல்லைக்குட்பட்ட பகுதிகளில் சுற்றுக்குழாய் அமைக்கும் திட்டத்திற்கு அடிக்கல் நாட்டி, காரப்பாக்கத்தில் உள்ள ஒக்கியம் மடுவுவை நேரில் பார்வையிட்டு, வடகிழக்குப் பருவமழையை முன்னிட்டு நீர்வளத்துறை, நெடுஞ்சாலைத் துறை, பெருநகர சென்னை மாநகராட்சி உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு துறைகளால் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுவரும் வெள்ளத் தடுப்பு முன்னேற்பாட்டுப் பணிகளை ஆய்வு செய்தார். The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. C. Joseph Vijay, today (14.10.2026), at an event held at the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board’s water pumping station in Sholinganallur, Chennai, laid the foundation stone for the Ring Main System project, to be implemented through the Board at an estimated cost of Rs. 3,108.55 crore in areas within the Greater Chennai Corporation limits; personally inspected the Okkiyam Maduvu at Karapakkam; and reviewed the flood mitigation works being undertaken by various departments, including the Water Resources Department, the Highways Department and the Greater Chennai Corporation, in view of the Northeast Monsoon. #cmjosephvijay
