A glimpse into Stony Stratford’s past…
@chapelrestaurant “We’re proud to showcase a collection of beautiful artwork by local artist Luke McDonnell, bringing historic Stony Stratford to life through his incredible illustrations.
From the High Street and the original Chapel, to the steam tram and local children, Luke’s work captures snapshots of the town as it looked more than 100 years ago — celebrating the people, places and stories that have shaped Stony Stratford.
Luke is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist who proudly calls Stony Stratford home.”
It was an absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to research our town’s great history and recreate these beautiful images of Victorian Stony. I love Stony Stratford through and through, so I am very grateful to the Chapel for showcasing my work.
