Caleb and I entered Urban Ministries’ 14th Annual Collard Green Cook-Off this weekend, and we came in second place! 🥬🥈
It was our first cook-off, but the best part was spending the day with my son in community. We had a great time connecting with the folks at Urban Ministries and Brother Let’s Talk, an organization helping men overcome the stigma around mental health and get the support they need.
Community service is our jam. How do we lift the floor of our humanity? Through human connection, with a little help from collard greens.
Speaking of which, we’re running it back! Conversation and Collard Greens on Oct. 20, 5:30–7:30 p.m., at Thrive Coworking. Come through ready for a humanity rehearsal!
