@cornelluniversity The fact that this assault happened TWO YEARS AGO and has recently come to light is gross. But the fact that all the #cornell7 has walked around freely and been able to live their lives while the survivor has had to live in a nightmare is abhorrent.

They constantly say “protect women and girls from (insert whatever group they wanna discriminate against for the day),” but they never just say “protect women and girls from predators” full stop. Just read a story about a woman ON A MOVIE SET who got harassed so badly by a A-list actor it caused a take and no one did anything. He harassed her openly. HER! A woman. And the way ppl have attacked the Cornell assault survivor (victims are dead to me; she’s still alive and fighting).

The worst thing I read was “she was too drunk to stop anything from happening but sober enough to remember details?” Hey genius, she wasn’t drunk she was DRUGGED! Sometimes, you are fully aware of your surroundings but your body isn’t responsive to what’s happening. Plus there are PUBLIC Snapchat messages circulating explaining what happened. Just say you don’t believe women. It’s fine. Every woman in your family that isn’t a male centered woman will be mad.

If you say protect women and girls, then please mean it. I do not believe women or girls are helpless beings. But I do believe when they ask for help you give them help. And to some of the fcukers who talk about false reports, those numbers are smaller than the actual true ones. You just don’t wanna help cuz you’re a coward. It’s ok.

The National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS) from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that roughly 1 in 5 women (about 18.3% to 19.3%) experience completed or attempted rape in their lifetimes. Documented fact. Take your false reports opinion and shove it.

This is not up for debate or discussion.
