📍 Seng Huat Bak Kut Teh

Klang BKT Series — EP. 1

Starting the series with one of Klang’s old-school names. Seng Huat, better known as “Under the Bridge BKT”.

Seng Huat itself was established in 1979, but its BKT lineage goes back even further. Their family recipe traces back to Lee Boon Teh, one of the names closely associated with the early history of Klang Bak Kut Teh. Seng Huat was later started by his son, and today the family business has continued through generations.

Unlike many BKT shops today, Seng Huat still keeps things very traditional, no claypot (but I heard night time got claypot… hahaha), just individual bowls of meat and broth.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return to Seng Huat because I think the flavours are not strong enough but I still think you should give it a try! After all, they’re one of the OGs 💪🏻
