Here are a few things that I think create a cozy, lived-in kitchen. All elements you can incorporate in your rental, your “one day we will renovate” or your dream kitchen!

An obvious start 🤭 Traditionally a lamp in a cooking space used to be unexpected which is why it adds a level of cozy that can’t be matched!

On empty wall space, above the island, in the backsplash or take a note from our renting days where I hung one in front of our window!

Lived-in = looking like you actually live there! A couple of cute bowls displaying your produce for the week is always charming.

I have a polished nickel faucet and pot filler, aged brass hardware throughout and copper pots. I wouldn’t add any additional metals but having a couple (and making sure they’re in more than just one spot) gives you a collected look!
