The next generation of EMDR research starts with investing in the researchers who will lead it.

Through the EMDRIA-MQ Foundation Research Fellowship Program, the EMDRIA Foundation and MQ Mental Health Research are supporting early-career scientists pursuing EMDR therapy research in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Fellows will receive up to £250,000 in funding over three years, along with support designed to help researchers build independent careers and strengthen the future of EMDR research.

Applications for the 2027 Fellowship Program will open in December 2026, with eligible researchers including those with 3–7 years of postdoctoral experience who are based at a university, hospital or research institution.

This partnership is about more than funding individual projects. It’s an investment in growing research capacity, bringing new perspectives into the field and building the evidence that will help shape the future of EMDR therapy.
