I’ve now been in Chicago longer than I lived in SF which seems crazy. Visited last weekend for my birthday, Portola music fest, Folsom and perfect late September weather. Loved visiting old haunts, sharing it with Matt and friends, and of course seeing so many familiar friendly faces. In some ways SF has changed a lot, and in a lot of ways it’s like I never left 💜

🇿🇦 Tyla and Epic Records have announced a scholarship for the next generation of women in music. The “That Girl” Music Scholarship will support 10 students with $5,000 each: four in South Africa and six in the United States. The funding goes directly to their educational institutions to help cover tuition and required fees for studies in music and the arts. Priority is given to students at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The programme is administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE). Its stated application deadline is October 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, with an earlier closure once 50 eligible applications have been received.
