Thank you so much to the BBC for covering our campaign yesterday to stop the suspension of the Homerton homebirth team.
It’s a bit of a shame they cut out two parents directly affected by the suspensions.
@the_birth_advocate also had alot more to say about institutional racism within the NHS, adverse maternal & fetal outcomes in hospital and homebirth team “suspensions” that become closures around the U.K but there was a very important story about traffic in Brent Cross increasing someone’s commute by 15 minutes so….
It’s only women’s rights afterall, Keep it light!

I did all the research I could about birth, I had some amazing support by my MIL who was a wonderful mid wife in Wales. In the end I had an amazing home birth, no bath or inflatable pool, but it all worked. With the @thhomebirth it was during early 2021, so Covid times. But i felt safer and supported at home than in the hospital with everyone stressed and every single person wearing masks. If I did it again I'd absolutely go for home birth again. If all was healthy with the baby and myself. I'm so sad for Hackney expectant mum's having this taken away from them. It's despicable.
