10 years ago my bestie Chloe and I started a page called @iamthirtyaf . Did we really think about how the thirty thing had a shelf life? Nah fam, we didn’t. And that’s okay. 30 is a mindset. Did we think about the shelf life of AF? Also no. But I am pleased to know that this slang is still LIT! HIP! It’s right up there with “yeet” and “bozo” and “hey there buster” in terms of lingo that’s just never going to go out of style, and I, for one, think that’s tubular.

A lot of you have been asking me through DMs and messages about what happened to my leg — whether it’s real, whether I’m actually going through this... I had an Achilles tendon rupture, and I had to undergo surgery for it. Since then, I’ve been taking some time off to focus completely on my healing and recovery. That’s why I couldn’t reply to everyone individually. It’s been a month now, and thankfully, I’m feeling much better and slowly getting back to my normal self. I still need another one or two months of proper rest and care, but I’m definitely getting better day by day. ❤️ Thank you so much to each and every one of you who checked on me, showed concern, sent messages, and kept asking how I was doing.
