The iconic lineup scene in The Usual Suspects (1995) was originally scripted to be a serious, tense moment but became famous for the actorsโ€™ genuine, uncontrollable laughter. Director Bryan Singer decided to use the laughing takes because they perfectly captured an authentic sense of camaraderie and disrespect for authority, turning a โ€œdead seriousโ€ scene into one of cinemaโ€™s most memorable, unscripted moment.
