Hybrid animal artist explained - 2/3
Why I switched from watercolor to oil pastel
My white cats & polar bears always turned muddy grey in watercolor when I added shadows 😩
Then I tried Ying Ying from Ocean Park on kraft paper. Oil pastel = white is just WHITE 🤍
No masking, only strokes
It worked so well that I kept going for painting other animals.
EP3 tomorrow: Ying Ying is the first of my animals with stories. I don't paint commissioned pets, I paint stories 🎋
