I actually read 2 books that were on my physical TBR stack for the month! Maybe I’ll do better in October 😅

Okay, one the read along on kindle with an audiobook WHY did I just try that for the first time yesterday… both The Sweetest Fiend and Florescentia have amazing voice actors and The Sweetest Fiend has music 🪈🎶 Both incredible listening experiences. Also, yes I know Fallen Rook’s audio book is really good but I read that one the old fashioned way…

This could just be me, sad that both of these duologys are now complete, but they just missed that extra spark/fire. I put these books down a lottt BUT it will not diminish that the first book in both of these duologys were some of my favorite reads of the year! Very original storyline in both! Just needed more Rory/Sybill and Alira/Kalel moments 🖤

There is basically one 🌶️ scene in The Sweetest Fiend but due to the Piper being obsessed with his pipe… we will knock it up to 🌶️🌶️ for the banter between him and Esti.

Fallen Rook gets a million 🌶️ because it is very much touch my man and ☠️ from the very first chapter (literally). My current chess board ranking: Twisted Pawn, Fallen Rook, and Bad Bishop. However, I can’t wait for all the “my wife” scenes we will get in Luca and Sophia’s book 🙂‍↕️

AND FINALLY here are my five star reads of the month! I’d say all three of these books are impeccable fall reads. Fantasy creatures ✔️ Enemies to lovers ✔️ Heartbreaking moments ✔️ Found family/family bonds ✔️
