Philadelphia Eagles quarterback #JalenHurts will be sitting out Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers after doctors discovered movement in a blood clot in his leg.

According to a statement from the #Eagles, Hurts initially sought treatment for a calf injury he suffered after being cleated during the team’s October 4 matchup against the #LosAngelesRams. An ultrasound later revealed a superficial blood clot, but doctors determined he could safely continue playing. The quarterback went on to compete without restrictions in Sunday’s game and returned to practice Wednesday.

However, a follow-up ultrasound that night revealed that the clot had moved, prompting the team to pull him out of the upcoming matchup. “Jalen will be out for Sunday’s game vs. the #Panthers as we determine the appropriate course of treatment,” the Eagles said, adding, “His health and safety are our highest priority.”

Kun pari päivää on paistateltu täydellisissä lomakeleissä, sadepäivän ottaa taas aidosti avosylin vastaan.🤗 Tänään se piti sisällään salitreenin, span sekä monta lukua kirjaa parvekkeella pisaroita kuunnellen. Illaksi tulikin taas aurinko esiin ennen kreikkalaiselle dinnerille suuntaamista.❤️
