Today, I attended an LGBTQ+ and Disability History and Awareness Month Flag Raising ceremony at a local university. My coworker and I were late, and we attempted to get a seat in the back of the ballroom without causing a disturbance while a speaker addressed the crowd.
A young Black man (probably not even 20) approached me, dapped me up, and said at full volume with the biggest smile, "The look is fire!"
I blushed so hard, I swear my face was purple. Best compliment I've gotten all month!
