🧶 Create something that will make a Splash!
Join artist Cheryl Capezzuti this Tuesday, October 6 for a community puppet-making workshop on Shore Thing, where participants will create approximately ten backpack-style puppets inspired by river creatures and other things that live in and around Pittsburgh’s waterways.
These puppets will become part of the collection available for participants to wear during the River Revel at Riverlife’s The Last Splash event on Saturday, October 10 -- a participatory celebration of Pittsburgh’s rivers through puppetry, pageantry, music, making, and collective play. Developed by Cheryl and Shiftworks Community + Public Arts in collaboration with Riverlife, River Revel will provide attendees with the opportunity to create and try-on puppets and join the Great River Creature Parade.
This workshop is open to all ages. #ShoreThing #RiverlifePGH @studiocapezzuti @shiftworkspgh
