a month agoBeautiful work! And it’s so cool that you’re keeping this tradition alive!
a month agoWhen I was doing woodcuts in art school, mine looked like your 2014 cut 😅… I never got better, but there were no access to better learning back then! (No internet, few tools!) I am so glad that you are hear to help shine a light on our ancestors’ great techniques
a month agoI'm on this path too. It's so rewarding. And people like you (and artists from the past) inspire to keep going. Thank you !
a month agoWell, do you know that's about the stage I'm at. You couldn't have made a better advert to encourage perseverance. Thanks for this post. May I say, I love the cockerel. Untrained eye I may have, but I see it's appeal. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
a month agoVery cool to see your story and very encouraging as well! I'm currently in the starting out phase with woodcutting so it's nice to see that the struggle at the beginning (especially when it comes to finding suitable wood) is part of the craft for everyone at some point
a month agoGreat and encouraging, as always🌟 very relatable, mine was a bird, too! Carved with a gouge from a hardware store😁
