Keep this front of mind:

Just because your hips feel tight doesn’t mean they’re strong.

Just because your hips feel tight doesn’t mean they need to be stretched. Or “opened”.

Your hips feel tight for a reason.

That tightness is protective. It’s a neurological response to lack of stability.

When we lack stability and strength, our bodies keep us safe by restricting movement.

That restriction is holding you back on purpose. And yet…you keep trying to stretch it away.

Chasing deeper postures and more extreme ranges only creates more instability…

Unless you prioritize control through the ranges of motion you want to move through.

Mobile hips are STRONG hips.

They can rotate, flex, extend, abduct, adduct and hold you up.

And they learn to do all those things when you train movement progressively.

I’ve been teaching yoga teachers how to bring that work into their classes since 2015 using the Isolate-Activate-Integrate framework.

If you want to learn how to bring that type of teaching into your own classes, comment LAB to subscribe to my weekly Movement Lab emails.

You’ll get access to 5 free classes right away so you can start implementing more stability work in your next practice.

Ok but cute for thinking I’d be able to play on as normal.
Tell me, when did your energy return?
First trimester is no joke.
To anyone exercising consistently in first trimester - you’re an animal.
